What can you expect when you bring your Duke of Edinburgh group to us?
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of practical, cultural and adventurous outdoor activities. It offers an individual challenge, and encourages young people to undertake exciting, constructive, challenging and enjoyable outdoor activities.
Our Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions’ are specifically designed to meet the requirements as set out in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. We have courses designed for the Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions’.
The main objectives of the Expedition section of the D of E are; to develop young people physically, mentally, and socially. Specifically, on the Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition participants will learn good practice in;
- Environmental responsibility
- How to administer first aid and emergency procedures
- Awareness of risk and health and safety issue
- Develop proficiency in a mode(s) of transport
The outdoor activities you can choice from include; mountain walking, kayaking, canoeing, and mountain biking. We tailor the course to your needs and have multiple training and qualifying options, especially at Gold level
